Go Birds.....

Gee Andy, looks like the running game actually works, if you give it a chance....

Great game by the Eagles today.  Keep hope alive!

Why the prevent Defense... ever?  To quote the analyst at the end of the game.."The only thing the Prevent Defense does is prevent you from winning!"

Truer words were never said...

Still all and all a great game to watch...  GO BIRDS!

Financial Analysts Need To Do Better....

Today the unemployment numbers came out at around 533,000.  Analysts were shocked.  They were predicting half of that number.

Often earnings of a company come out far below or above where analysts estimated them to be.

This is not a reflection of surprise numbers, it reflects how poorly analysts are doing their jobs.

Taking the easy way out and not digging into the facts, but accepting the fodder put out by the people involved in the company or situation involved.

Guys, get your shit together and do your job!  There should be a lot fewer surprises....

Healthy Low Calorie Lunch

Here's something I like to do for a quick, easy, great tasting lunch.  Just finished a bowl for lunch today. Very tasty, indeed.

Start with a can of Chicken Soup....  Being on a diet, I chose Healthy Choice Chicken and Rice.

Clean & rough chop a large carrot.

Do the same with a few stalks of Celery.

If you are an onion fan, rough chop half an onion or use some cut up scallions.

I happened to have half of a cooked boneless, skinless chicken breast left over from last night's dinner so I chunked that up and added it into the mix.

Put everything into a sauce pan over a low heat and simmer for about fifteen minutes to soften the veggies and meld their wonder fresh flavors into the soup.

Add some fresh ground pepper and a dash of hot sauce if you like extra spicy soup.

If you aren't on a diet..... cube some Jarlsberg Cheese (1/4" to 1/2" cubes) and drop them in right after you ladle the piping hot soup into the bowl.  You can also shave some Parmesan Reggiano on if you like a little richer soup.

Enjoy!
